Independence Rock

We went to visit Independence Rock. For those of you who don't remember the significance of this, it was a marker along the trail for those heading west on the Oregon, California and Mormon trails. Many of the pioneers etched or painted their names into the rock.

Ryan and Andrew at the top of Independence Rock.

Our little rock climber working his way to the top. Andrew climbed everything he could.

Here he is on one of his many summits of the day.

And this is how Caleb enjoyed the day. He actually laughed while his dad would lift him and the stroller over barbed wire fences. Maybe we went to places we shouldn't have???

Ryan's log January 25, 2009. The Madsen household is doing well. Erika has been battling Andrew the Tyrant (a.k.a-superman, batman, big boy, and dady bear) and Caleb the Volumenater. He has found his vocal cords and is using them in the highest pitch known to mankind.

We have finally settled down in Casper, WY and are loving it. I go to work and learn acronyms at the Bureau of Reclamation and Erika stays home and battles the children. Some times she wins.

A little history as to why I created this blog. Parents!!!! Need I say more. We will try to attach pictures of the boys periodically. Thier parents are of no concern to their grandparents therefore there will be minimal pictures of the man childrens parents. Make comments as to their cuter moments. Let me rephrase that. We will edit all of thier cute moments and pick out the best for your reading pleasure.
